NumBuster is a Community-based telephone safety and caller-information service. You do not need to have a NumBuster account or use the NumBuster application for information associated with a telephone number to have been contributed to the service by registered NumBuster Users. For privacy, correction, deletion, objection or other requests: support@numbuster.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster distinguishes between a Number Page and a User Profile. A Number Page is a telephone-number record through which information or Community activity associated with a telephone number may be organised and displayed. A Number Page may exist even where the person or persons using the relevant telephone number have never registered with NumBuster and have never used the NumBuster application. A User Profile, by contrast, is associated with a registered NumBuster User. The existence of a Number Page therefore does not mean that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A telephone number is the technical reference point used by NumBuster to organise and retrieve relevant Community and telephone-safety information. NumBuster does not assume that every telephone number permanently or exclusively corresponds to one natural person. Depending on the circumstances, a telephone number may be used by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The person actually using a telephone number may differ from the contractual subscriber, and telephone numbers may be reassigned by telecommunications providers. Accordingly, the existence of information associated with a telephone number does not by itself mean that NumBuster has established the identity of a particular natural person. At the same time, NumBuster recognises that information associated with a telephone number may constitute Personal Data where, in the circumstances, it relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Depending on the information contributed by Users and the functionality involved, a Number Page may contain or be associated with categories of information such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not every Number Page contains every category of information. NumBuster does not represent probable name or title variants as independently verified civil identity information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster is a Community-based service. Telephone-number information processed through the relevant Community functionality is obtained through the activities of registered NumBuster Users. Depending on the functionality used, information may result from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The person to whom information may relate is therefore not necessarily the person from whom NumBuster obtained that information. NumBuster does not treat a probable name or title derived from Community Contacts information as authoritative evidence of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Registered NumBuster Users may independently contribute Community labels or categories concerning telephone numbers. Such labels may reflect the User’s own experience, observation or understanding of communications associated with the telephone number. Where the relevant functionality supports it, NumBuster may display the number of Users currently supporting a particular label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A User may change that User’s own active contribution. When a contribution is changed, the previous contribution is correspondingly withdrawn from the active Community result. Where the contributing User deletes the relevant NumBuster account or Profile, that User’s applicable active contributions are removed in accordance with the applicable deletion process. The ordinary NumBuster interface does not disclose to other Users which individual User contributed a particular emoji\/category label. Community labels are subject to applicable visibility rules, moderation measures and complaint procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Registered Users may submit reviews based on their own experiences concerning telephone communications or telephone numbers. Reviews constitute User-generated Community information and are not represented by NumBuster as independently verified statements of fact merely because they appear in the service. Reviews may be subject to automated and\/or human moderation. NumBuster may remove or restrict content that violates applicable law, Community rules, moderation requirements or the rights of other persons. If you believe a review is inaccurate, unlawful, abusive or otherwise inappropriate, you may report the review through the available reporting mechanism or contact support@numbuster.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Registered NumBuster Users may independently choose to block a telephone number. Where NumBuster displays a blocking counter, the counter represents an aggregate of current active blocking actions by Users. The blocking counter does not identify the individual Users who blocked the telephone number. It is not intended to represent a historical cumulative total. If a User stops blocking the telephone number, or the applicable blocking action is removed following deletion of that User’s account or Profile, the aggregate counter changes accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Where applicable, NumBuster may display a Trust Rating associated with a telephone number. The Trust Rating is a Community-derived telephone-safety indicator produced through a predefined mathematical calculation using defined eligible User and service signals. The mathematical calculation is automated. The underlying evaluative inputs originate from User actions or defined service events. The Trust Rating is not generated using a machine-learning model. The telephone number is the technical reference point of the rating. NumBuster does not assume that a telephone number necessarily corresponds permanently or exclusively to one natural person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Trust Rating is intended for telephone-communication safety purposes. It is not intended to determine the character, honesty, creditworthiness, legal status or general trustworthiness of a natural person. The Trust Rating is not used by NumBuster to determine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Where the applicable verified deletion process results in deletion of the relevant Number Page\/Profile information, the Trust Rating is deleted and is not intentionally reconstructed from Community signals that may remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Depending on the information and functionality concerned, NumBuster processes telephone-number associated information for purposes including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster does not use the Community telephone-number information described in this notice for determining a person’s employment, credit, insurance eligibility or access to public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster is operated by GOODLINE SOFTWARES W.L.L., a company established in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Where information described in this Notice constitutes Personal Data, the primary legal framework for NumBuster’s processing is Bahrain Law No. (30) of 2018 with respect to Personal Data Protection (Bahrain PDPL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The legal ground applicable to particular processing depends on the circumstances. For processing for which consent or another specific ground is not required, Bahrain PDPL Article 4(5) permits processing necessary for the legitimate interests of the Data Controller or a third party, provided that those interests do not conflict with the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Data Subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Relevant legitimate interests include, depending on the processing concerned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster assesses necessity, proportionality and the impact on affected persons and applies the safeguards described in this Notice. Different categories of information may require different outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To the extent Regulation (EU) 2016\/679 (GDPR) applies to a particular processing activity, NumBuster separately assesses the applicable GDPR requirements, including Article 6(1)(f) where legitimate interests are relied upon. The inclusion of GDPR information in this Notice does not constitute an admission that the GDPR applies to every NumBuster processing activity, every User, every Number Page or every item of Community Information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Community information may reflect Users’ experiences, observations or opinions. It may be incomplete, disputed, outdated or inaccurate. Information is therefore not treated as independently verified fact merely because it appears on a Number Page. Depending on the functionality concerned, mechanisms designed to improve relevance and accuracy may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you believe information associated with a telephone number is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or inappropriate, you may request review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster is intended for adults. NumBuster does not permit persons under the applicable minimum age for the service to register for and use NumBuster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster uses layered measures intended to prevent access by minors and to reduce the risk that inappropriate Community information concerning minors remains available through the service. These measures include, where applicable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you believe that a Number Page or Community information may concern a child, please contact support@numbuster.com<\/a>. Such reports are subject to enhanced review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Retention depends on the category of information and the purpose for which it is processed. NumBuster does not intend to retain Personal Data in identifiable form for longer than reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute resolution and rights-protection requirements. Where a verified deletion request is completed, information falling within the applicable deletion scope is removed from public access and ordinary service functionality in accordance with the applicable deletion process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Information subject to permanent deletion may, where permitted by applicable law, remain in a restricted pending-deletion state for a limited period necessary to complete the deletion process, maintain security, prevent abuse, resolve technical incidents or disputes, or deal with an accidental deletion request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Certain independently generated Community information contributed by other Users may remain where NumBuster determines that continued processing is lawful and necessary. Depending on the circumstances, such information may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you believe that information associated with a telephone number relates to you, you may contact NumBuster to request, where applicable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The existence and scope of a particular right depend on applicable law and the circumstances of the request. NumBuster may need to verify that you control the relevant telephone number or verify other information reasonably necessary to prevent one person from altering or deleting information relating to another person or telephone number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A request concerning one person’s Personal Data does not automatically require NumBuster to erase independent actions, settings or information belonging to or contributed by other Users. Where applicable law requires an individual assessment – including an objection to processing based on legitimate interests – NumBuster will assess the particular circumstances of the request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You do not need to install the NumBuster mobile application or register as a NumBuster User solely in order to submit an applicable deletion request. NumBuster provides a website-based deletion procedure through which control of the relevant telephone number can be verified using the available verification methods. The deletion procedure is accessible through the \u201cDelete account and personal data\u201d<\/a>. You may also contact support@numbuster.com<\/a> for privacy, correction, objection or deletion assistance. Verification protects against unauthorised deletion or alteration of information associated with telephone numbers controlled by other persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your concern relates to a particular review, probable name\/title, Community label or other Community information, you may use the available reporting functionality or contact support@numbuster.com<\/a> . Depending on the type of information concerned, NumBuster may consider matters including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Review or restriction of particular Community information does not necessarily require deletion of the entire Number Page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NumBuster uses technical infrastructure and service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, secure and support the service. Depending on the functionality concerned, recipients or categories of recipients may include providers of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or pursuant to valid legal process from a competent authority. NumBuster does not publicly disclose through the ordinary service interface the identity of the User who contributed a particular emoji\/category Community label. NumBuster uses technical infrastructure and service providers located in more than one jurisdiction. Where applicable law imposes requirements concerning international transfers of Personal Data, NumBuster applies the measures required for the relevant processing and transfer.
